I am a retired Lt. Colonel Army officer and a resident of Alaska since 1991. After 20 years of military service, I completed my Ph.D in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and returned to Alaska.
I served for several years on the Kenai Borough’s Hope/Sunrise Advisory Planning Commission for my area and was elected as president to Hope Inc., the community’s non-profit organization that interfaces with the Borough on town issues. I also served as president of the Anchorage Women’s Hockey League for 3 years.
I started my own IT consulting business in 2008 until 2012, and worked as a Senior Project Manager from 2012 until 2016. Additionally, I was an adjunct to the School of Engineering’s Computer Science Department at UAA during the 2015-2016 school year.
Since 2016, I have worked at the University of Alaska as Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department.
