I am a retired Lt. Colonel Army officer and have been a resident of Alaska since 1991. After retiring from the military, I completed my doctoral degree at Carnegie Mellon University in 2003 in computer science, returned to Alaska and settled in Hope, AK.

I served for several years on the Kenai Borough’s Advisory Planning Commission for the Hope/Sunrise area and was elected as president to Hope Inc., the community’s non-profit organization that interfaces with the Borough on town issues. I also served as president of the Anchorage Women’s Hockey League for 3 years.

I started my own IT consulting business in 2008 until 2012, and worked as a Senior Project Manager from 2012 until 2016. Additionally, I was an adjunct to the School of Engineering’s Computer Science Department at UAA during the 2015-2016 school year.

Since 2016, I have worked at the University of Alaska as Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department.
